Ovation Hair Products Reviewed

I am asked to review new products occasionally by clients. This is my latest review posted below. This is my email response verbatim:

Dear _____,

I just reviewed the website and called their main number. I spoke with a woman named Carlee (Vice President of Sales) who gave me some additional info. She said that she was going to email me the ingredients for their Cell Therapy Cream, but I have still yet to receive it.

Here is the deal. There is only one product that they claim that has an impact on the hair cycle. That is the Cell Therapy Cream. They say that the amino acids in the cream help naturally extend the life of the growth phase. There is absolutely no mention on their website of how this happens and there is only one before and after picture of the President of the company. The woman that I spoke with says that they do not claim to treat pattern hair loss. It simply gives the appearance of thick fuller hair. I think that they are marketing more towards improving the quality of the existing hair and providing healthier environment for future growth.

To be honest, I am not impressed. The only bit of research I found was in regard to Panthenol (vitamin b5) and how it will extend to life of the anagen phase of the hair. This is true. That is why there is high levels of b5 in the both the PM and PMb topicals that both you and _____are using.

I will review the ingredients of Cell Therapy Cream when it arrives. I think that this product is designed for people who have damaged hair or have thinning due to nutritional inadequacies. In my opinion, this is not going to be an improvement to either of your treatment programs.

UPDATE July 14th, 2009

This is an copy of an email sent to me through from an Ovation Hair Product user sent July 13th, 2009.

User from: Lemon Grove, CA 91945

Subject: Ovation Hair therapy Products
I tried this product for 3 months with no results, when I called to get my money back guarantee, they stated I needed to return the bottles back to them and that I would only received money back for the last order I placed and not all the money. I happened to have the last 2 items I order which was the Hair therapy treatment and the rinse.
I received a refund for only the last 2 products. The add does not state you should keep your bottles and return them if not satisfied. And they do not state that you will only received a refund for the last order and not all if you continue to use the product as they state for results, 3 months.
this company does not meet their advertised promises.

UPDATE September 1, 2009: OVATION HAIR STUDY Begins.

UPDATE January 29, 2014: Free Phone Consultation Provided

William Gaunitz trichologisto head shot  Due to the overwhelming response to this blog post, I am making this    update. Many women who have tried Ovation for Hair Loss have been left unsatisfied and in some cases the product has made them worse due to the high level of chemicals in their product.

Women's hair loss is relatively simple and be corrected with making minor adjustments to hormones naturally that will combate the hereditary influence of female pattern hair loss. I am now taking personal phone consultations at no cost to help the women who have not had success with Ovation or other products.

Simply email me at with the subject line Personal Consultation. My Hair Loss Clinics have been helping women since 2002. I am more than happy to help.

Thank you so much for writting this e-mail. I am a sucker for things like this and I was so close to getting the whole system. I'm only 35 and my hair is thinning on top and it is affecting my self-esteem a bit. I'm just happy that I am 5'11" so not many people can see the top of my head.
Once again, thank you for posting your e-mail and letting people hear an opinion that isn't 100% for the product.

I on the other hand have thin hair due to damage from chemicals and family genes. Mostly due to genes. I have always had fine hair that never grew past my shoulders, and if it did, it looked very thin. My ponytails were so small I had to wrap a rubberband around it 4 or 5 times. Anyway, I have been using this product for about a month and a half. For me, I have seen a difference, not a huge one, but a difference in any case. I am going to continue until it is gone. I do see a difference in the manageability. I wish I could rave about it, but I am still in the process of deciding if I like or need it. Thank you for your posting. I will keep you updated on the progress if any.

Hello Rhonda,
Thank you for your post. That is good feedback. The product will most likely enhance the condition of your existing hair, but there is no credible evidence that it will help regrow hair. Please keep us updated on your progress. I look forward to it.

I heard endless ads about this product both on TV & Radio so I decided I had to give it a try. My hair has always been thin & fine and as I grow older it gets worse. I have been using the product for almost 3 months and have noticed no change in the growth, volume or texture of my hair. A few weeks ago Ovation e-mailed me a note asking for my opinion and I of course told them about my dissapointment, I've heard nothing back from them....Don't waste your money.

I have been using this product for a month, and it has not lived up to its promises. There has been no change in the volume, shine, growth, nor thickness of my hair. It is a complete scam.

To Oliver and those who feel like Ovation Hair Products let them down;
I specialize in the development and implementation of new hair loss treatments programs. Since Evolution Hair Centers does not carry a directly competing product, I have been hesitant to recommend something for those individuals who have come to this blog and been unhappy with Ovation. I began testing a new product from DS Laboratories that seems to living up to its promises after 5 weeks of review. We will begin offering this new product through our store beginning April 24th. I would like to offer this product for a trial review for those of you who are willing to give this product a shot. I would like to hear your feedback. I will posting our initial microscopic scalp analysis photographs in an upcoming blog article. If you are interested in participating in this Review Study, please email me your name and email address to Subject OVATION STUDY. Our corporate office will email you the promo code within 48 hours so that you can receive 50% off the product. I thank you in advance for your possible participation.

Many people have responded to my comment in regard to the upcoming DS Laboratories study/review. This post will be coming soon. If you are looking to immediately get started, you can purchase the DS Labs Revita Shampoo from our online store at
We have yet to begin the study due to high levels of vitamin A in the DS Labs DNC and RS topicals. Once we have developed a safe protocol, we will begin the study with those products. In the mean time, the Revita shampoo is safe to use alone. I look forward to assisting you all in the near future. Please join our RSS Feed at the top of this page for all of the latest updates.

Hi all, just my two cents worth, but I am a (somewhat) happy user of Nioxin products (System 4), and as I see the ingredient list for Ovation Cell therapy, I don't see it as having any advantage over the Nioxin line, which at least tries to target different hair types and conditions. Also, nearly every ingredient found in Ovation Cell therapy can be found in my System 4 line, which has even more amino acids, algaes, and B Complex vitamins, along with other ferments, extracts, etc. (if desired, I will post those ingredients to show you what I mean).
If anything were going to work, it would be this. However, Nioxin really isn't a hair growth product either, but if you are looking to create the best possible scalp environment for healthy hair, and to retain what hair you have, then you could give this a shot. Even with Nioxin products, though, I still need to supplement with other products, in order to stop DHT and (hopefully) stimulate new growth. I also use Nizoral every 3-4 days, and will also start using Revivogen to stop DHT in the scalp, and then either Rogaine or TriComin (a tri-amino acid copper peptide formula) to actually stimulate some new growth. At least some of these other products have established research behind them (
Peace out~

I have been using the Ovation hair system for almost 2 months and I have to say that I am more impressed with it than any other product I have tried. What I have noticed most is that I am able to go 2 sometimes 3 days without having to wash my hair. Usually my hair is greasy by the end of the day - so I need to wash it daily. Whatever is in this product moisturizes my hair without making it get greasy. It seems like it has given my scalp what it needs and so my body has quit producing so much oil. I have to say, my hair feels healthier than it ever has. I live in Colorado, a dry climate, and my hair has always been dry and brittle. Does the product make hair grow faster? I can't really say. But I have noticed much less breakage and shedding and I would think that would make my hair seem to grow faster over time. I don't know if this product is the miracle it claims, but as far as anything I have ever tried, I like it and plan to repurchase when I get close to running out.

I was just on this website to see the reviews that Ovation gives. My hair is not thinning or fallin; I just need it to grow faster. My hair grows extremely slow. Do you think it'll speed up?
Posted @ Wednesday, July 01, 2009 10:18 AM by Judy
I had cancer 2 years ago and lost most of my hair and now that it's growing back it is really hard to keep from breaking off. I ordered my Ovation about 3 weeks ago and I see a noticeable difference in my hair. My hair is much softer and more manageable. I am a black female so selecting the right hair products is extremely important. I would highly recommend this product to all the African American People out there with thinning and lifeless hair

i'm planning to buy the product, but i'm not sure if it will work. I have a very thin hair and it grows so slow. It also break easily. I tried a lot of products but none of them seem to work.

After contracting a body fungus over my entire body this summer I eventually had to shave my head, because it was dry and had dry leiosns all over my scalp and began coming out by the hands full. I am a black female and used to wear wigs just for fashion. Now I have no choice. I am trying to grow my hair back and don't know what else to try. I take Aphoge hair vitamins and use Frenchees Finally seeing a little progress). I have tried every home remedy and Dr Miracle. I would love to be a part of that study from DS Labs DNC. How do I get on board?
Posted @ Wednesday, September 09, 2009 11:06 PM by Frankie
Hello Frankie,
I believe that our products can help. Fungal and bacterial infections can cause serious hair loss. In some cases, that hair loss can be irreversible. As long you do not have a scarring infection of the scalp (i.e. scarring folliculitis), our products will help. The new GHS 360 Product System specifically targets bacteria, fungus, and other microbes to reduce inflammation at the hair follicle. I believe that it is worth a shot.

I have used this product and though the radio ads are a bit misleading, it does have some effect. While it doesn't actually make your hair grow, it does strengthen it, making it break less often therefore allowing it to grow healthier. It also does detangle and seems to make my hair much more manageable. The shampoo was worthless, I actually think it made the color look duller. The creme rinse is a nice detangler and makes your hair very soft, however for thr price, I don't know if it's worth it. Also, this product is basically the same thing as Megatek Coat and Hoof Rebuilder, which yes, is a cell rebuilder for horses but is safe for human use. Both products have the same nice coconut smell and I believe they are by the same company. The only thing is the Ovation is much more expensive at $55/bottle where as the Megatek is about $30 for a larger bottle.

After reading all the comments about this product, I am confused, don't know whether to try it or not. It's so expensive, I would like to know if it really works or not. The advertisements make it sound as id it works, but I am hearing too many negatives from the people who have purchased and used it. If this is just a hoax to make money, it needs to stop!

I have been using Ovation products (all 3 of them) for 6 weeks now. I liked it first few times (shine, volume), hair is awful...very dry, hard to style, my ends are horible... and my psoriasis (scalp) got worst and not ''better'' like it was advertised. I want to return it..very, very disappointed..

I just ordered OVATION and received it today, this will be my first time using it. I don't have thinning hair, but it's overprocessed and seems to grow slow. I have tried Nioxin in the past but it only dried my hair out. I am going to give this a shot and see what happens....

I'm Africian American with over processed thinning hair. I have used this product for three months and no change in the length of thickness of my hair. The only postive comment I can make is that it smells good. I have given up on it and would not recommend it

I'm a hair stylist and I have three customers that uses ovation, one for about two months and the other for three weeks and I don't see any difference in their hair. I wouldn't spend that kind of money for that product.I was going to get me some but changed my mind.

I just saw my hairstylist and he said that my hair seemed thicker. I will see him in January and he wil tell me if my hair has grown at all. I only bought the Cell Therapy Conditioner. So I will get back to you in January.

I received my "Ovation Hair System" on Saturday morning I used it as soon as it was delivered, I was impressed with the first time using it, I could tell a big difference in styling my hair, the way it shined and so much body, I did'nt even have to use my curling iron. I was really happy when I woke up the next morning, my hair still looked good enough that I did'nt have to shampoo and spend an hour getting my hair together.... Today I used it for the 2nd time, although last night before going to bed I did what the directions said which was to apply the Cell Theropy on damp hair and leave it on over night... when I got up this morning my hair felt and looked great and then when I washed and did my hair it looked even better... my ends look smooth with a lot of body... I have to admit after I orderd my Ovation last week, and reading the posts of reviews on this site I was afraid that I was going to be unhappy with my purchase... But, I'm thrilled with it... plus I noticed that each bottle was totally filled to the opening of the cap... so you diffently get your monies worth... I can hardly wait to see how nice my hair will look 30 days from now... I believe that my hair will stop breaking at the ends so that now it will grow longer.... So far, I highly recommend this product if you have problem hair... in the mean time I will keep touch with an update in a few weeks.

I saw my 45 year old friend over the holidays and was shocked at how healthy, shiny, thick and longer her hair was since I saw her in October (8 weeks ago). I asked her what she had done to her otherwise drab and thin hair. She cited Ovation and raved about the product and even said her hairdresser notice a difference! I came to the website to check it. It may not work for everyone, but dang it's making a huge difference in my friends hair health!

Wow, I'm surprised at the very low repurchase reviews.I lost 23 lbs and my work stress caused hair loss, thinning , shedding. I have been using this product(shampoo, cell therapy, cream rinse) for only 2 weeks. I did not know about its working condition before and I had not even tried it before. The results are AMAZING, started off with fine hair and after 2 weeks, my hair stopped or slowed down shedding and growing faster and I'm losing less hair than before.I could feel that my hair is in very good condition and smooth and silky soft. I could manage my hair better and it was not frizzy at all. Yep! A little costly, but well worth every penny! I recommend this product for people of all ethnic background.

It's been at about 3 weeks now that I have been using the Ovation Treatment... and I'm very happy with the way my hair is looking and feeling when I touch it wet or dry... I have color treated hair, I wash and use a curling iron and flat iron everyday... before I used the Ovation my ends were dry and split especially my sides were always breaking in the shower my hair was falling out through my fingers... since I've been using the Ovation I notice a huge difference, my hair feels stronger and is not breaking or splitting at the ends, its shinny and holds the curl better, and when I wake up in the morning my hair looks good enough that I don't need to wash it if I don't want too... It surprizes me that so many of the post are negative, all I know is that I'm happy with it... I will report my progress in a few weeks...

My hair is also overprocessed, i get bleached high lights which dont help my hair at all, and wash and straighten my hair every morning! My hair stayed the same length for a very long time since the ends break of, I am excited to see what Ovation will do to my hair!

Ladies, I have been their my hair is thinning, thin and fine. I have tried just about everything and the only thing that does work is the Rogaine. Don't you think doctors would know about the treatments for hair loss. My option is to wear a wig which is not all that bad if you find something close to your style.

I decided to try the Ovation Cell Therapy Products, and I must say I am happy with the results, my hair is more shiny and manageable, I have very curley hair, plus it is chemical treated, and I use the straightening iron everyday on it, my hair seems more thicker with a glow, not dull and lifeless. For me the Ovation Cell Therapy system seems to be working.

I haven't seen a mention of HairPrime. I am 60 post menopausal with fine hair. I was starting to lose my hair at a fast rate. An esthetician who had a client that got good results, I have been using for 10 months. I can see all the short hairs (about a inch or more) coming in and my hair is visibly healthier. It doesn't "grow" hair. Only lets the hair you had come back and stronger so doesn't fall out. I am losing very little hair now. Study done at Stanford University. Need to use for a year before going into maintenance mode. Like Ovation, 3 products. Shampoo, lotion, primer. Only use every other day. If hair is dry, do not need to wash at night before using lotion. They also have vitamins, but if you are healthy they say no need to buy. There are a couple of websites where you can buy for less than at HairPrime. They tell you if you don't start to notice less hair falling out within a month, that the product may not be working. They will give money back. 90% success rate. Thought I was going to look like my Mom where you can see her scalp in many places. I am totally happy.
I see there are many African American women posting, so I want to let people know that I am a white woman. So can't speak to how it would work for AFW. Don't know why it would make a difference but I have read that AFW seem to have different hair concerns.
Posted @ Sunday, January 17, 2010 11:34 AM by Susan
I have used this product for two months and my hairstylist said there is no difference in hair growth or thickness.. So I discontinued using this product. I guess it depends on your hair. Did not work for mine. Sorry Ovation.
Posted @ Monday, January 18, 2010 10:16 AM by T
Well I'm still hopeful, though I still have hair falling out. It's been at least 2mos of use for me. I like the ease but I'm afraid that it may not be working for me. I've tried the different topical solutions and found some to work but just hated the routine of a.m. and p.m. applications.

Ovation, doesn't promise to regrow dead hair. It promises to help with live hair follicles and hair you already have-read the fine print. By making your hair manageable and stronger, it creates less breakage, so your hair is longer. Also, as far as returns they are honest in saying you only get back your last purchase less shipping and handling. I truly can't understand the problem in that, because if it doesn't work the first time, why would you use it again? I am black, and I think this product is amazing for black people's hair!!! Black hair grows fine, it just breaks from all the chemicals we put in it. This product stops the breakage, adds shine, makes your hair manageable! I love love love this product...If the price is the kicker, buy Dr. Miracle Shampoo and conditioner, and just use the ovation cell therapy instead of all three products. Between those two products, my hair has completely been reborn!! The Keratin protein in the Ovation and the tea tree in the Dr. Miracle product line are amazing for my hair! Honestly, I splurge on both these brands since neither is really all that cheap (Dr, Miracle relaxers are 8-12 bucks where as others are 3-6)and think that any of products they offer are great...Those are the only products that touch my hair and while I am on a tight budget and this is one purchase worth the price tag!!

I saw Ovation ad in LA and decided to try if it would work. I have had hair loss problem almost entire of my life. So, I thought it might work. About a month after I started to use this product, my hair got really thick, at the same time, I shed like crazy. Once I stopped using the product, I lost almost one third of my hair. I think that people who actually have a hair loss( alopecia, I think) should never ever use this product. I am so depressed and regretful that I used this product.

Hi Tanickia,
I don't believe Ovation will help your hair "grow" more, I've been using Ovation for about 2 months, what I notice most is that my hair is in better, stronger condition which is causing me not to feel that I have to cut all the dead ends off, which is making my hair feel and look longer. Please read Ruths post; dated January 21,2010 -she explains this product "perfectly"!

Hi ladies, I am a hairstylist of 20 years. I have been reading the different opinions that everyone has on this product. However it is very unfortunate that its sooo many products to choose from until we really dont know which one the trust to work. And on top of that, everyone has different situations with their hair, it's just realistically impossible for one product to cure everyone's problem.
Now I have seen and dealt with a lot of thinning clients of various reasons. I have recommended to a few of my clients the Nioxon Follicle Booster,by using it as directed consistently, you will have results. I also recommend a product called Nouristress, this product is fantastic, from the shampoo to the hair vitamin's that they offer. Youwill not find this product in the stores, you can go to to more information on this product line, awesome. And I highly suggest a hair vitamin, no matter what.
I did however notice that the Ovations product has Keratin Protein in it. Our hair is made up from Keratin, so any product that has this in its ingredient is good, because we need to replace back in to our hair whatever we may have taken out, from whatever chemical given, and this goes for Caucasian, Afro American, or Latino. Keratin is a fibrous scleroprotein that occurs in the outer layer of the skin and in horny tissues such as hair, feathers, nails and hooves.
But as it goes with any product, it will take time to see results, but with the proper diet(we are what we eat), and the products that I mentioned, you will be successful. And if you do have Alopecia, please contact a dermatologist immediately. There isn't or at least I have not seen any hair product that will cure Alopecia.
Well ladies, I really hope that I have been of some help. Good luck to you all. I have posted my email if any one has any further questions.

I started using GNC (Hair, skin and nails) with Biotin and I do not loose hardly any hair. My hair has gotten so much thicker. I recommend it %100 and it is inexpensive: )

Ok, I need some help, had a perm done last yr, just last week, had my straighten out, now it's very dry and brittle, and I personally don't have the money to waste, so can someone please suggest a product I can use that actually will improve my hair, NOT OVIATION, tried that last yr, it did nothing, it's a waste of money. Thank you in advance.

I was going to try the Ovation line but after reading all of this, now I will not. I am very happy I found this site and now will not waste the money.

I was in the process of ordering this product just as your last blogger. It all sounded great on their website, then decided to do a little more research as the price is not cheap. Came across this website and after reading comments, I don't think it's worth the waste. It seems it doesn't stand up to it's infomercial...thanks to this website I saved myself the money...

I've been using Ovation for a little over a week and I love the way my hair looks and feels. I'm seeing a lot less breakage, my hair is more manageable and my hair never been so soft and still able to style it without any trouble. It works on my hair!

Your comment is correct in my view. I tried the Ovation products. The shampoo has the sodium laurel sulfate (or its sister chemical) is is not a good ingredient. And the "therapy" product, while it may give a volumizing effect does nothing to increase the number of hairs nor the quality of the hair. I found cheaper products work just as well.

Dear All ,
To grow your hair stronger and thick.
I will send to you my grandmother's miracle recipe. She was a native from the Amazon Forest. They all have a beautiful hair. It's easy, natural and fun do make by yourself without chemical or side effects.
Anticonceptive pills
Aloe Vera plant: Aloe Vera plant, Aloe barbadensis, are perennial plants in the Lily family that are known for their healing and soothing properties.Great for your scalp.
Vitamin E liquid (small bottle)
As a supplement, Vitamin E has a number of health benefits for the body. Vitamin E is particularly important for the protection of our cell membranes as well as keeping your skin, heart and circulation, nerves, muscles and red blood cells healthy.
Shea butter is a slightly yellowish or ivory colored natural fat extracted from the seed of the African shea tree by crushing and boiling. It is widely used in cosmetics as a moisturizer and salve. ( To bring back a natural an beautiful shine to your hair )
Coconut Shampoo
Leave in Conditioner
First crush all the pills and save
Second take the aloe vera juice and save
After mix the Vitamin E bottle withe the crushed pills and aloe vera juice.
Mix well after add 1 spoon of original sea-butter ( You can find at the African Market or store)
Now you blended all the products and mix with your shampoo and leave in conditioner .
This will make your hair thick, full, healthy and beautiful.
Good Luck!!!!

Last year my hair fell out due to stress in the last semester of college. It got so bad, that I had to start wearing wigs. I had enough, so after hearing an radio ad for ovation I decided to try it out. After the first shampoo, I noticed that my hair appeared to be fuller, more voluminous and shiny. It was amazing! So of course, I continued to use it. The effects wore off a little (i.e. my hair is no longer as shiny and a little less manageable (before I could wake up and go, now I have to "do" my hair).
None the less, it has been nearly 2 months and I am still using it. I have noticed that my thinning "bald" spots are growing back, even my trouble spots in the front. My hair is fuller, and since my hair was short (a-line bob) it has been growing back at more then a half an inch/month.
I love this product, and because my results have been so drastic, have gotten 3 other people to purchase it as well. Even if your thinning hair does not grow back, you will have beautiful, managable and shiny hair.
You don't have to buy the system, the cell therapy is enough to change your hair. Don't use too much, or else it will weigh your hair down and pair it with a good dandruff shampoo twice a week to keep your scalp in excellent condition for growing.

I am the owner of 2 hair salons in san diego and can honestly say I love this product. I was very hesitant although 3 of my clients did buy it and really liked the results. One of my clients did not follow directions and therefore her results were different . I noticed my color holds better , it feels thicker and just love it. I had my hair cut 3 weeks ago and I think it helped my hair grow more! I am reordering and recommending it to all my friends.

After reading all the comments above, I just had to post my own. Having suffered from hair loss for over 20 years now, I have tried just about everything on the market. I have been using Ovation for almost 2 months and really love this product. I feel I have to post this comment because this is the first product I have come across that has really made a difference in my hair and if those of us who really love the product don't speak up for it -- it will not succeed and then won't be available to us. I cannot tell just yet if my hair is actually growing from the product, but I do notice how much thicker, healthier and shiney it is. I recommend this product to anyone who has fine, thin hair or to anyone who wants their hair to be healthy and shiney.

I eard the same Ovation Cell Therapy pitch on the radio by two female radio station personalities on their respective radio stations in San Diego. After some investigating of Ovation Cell Therapy (OVT) vs Mega-Tek Rebuilder (for horse hoofs), I found both websites: OVT by DC Labs and Mega-Tek Rebuilder by EQyss and clicked on "contact us". Both businesses are located at the same PO Box in Carlsbad, CA (which is North San Diego County) and share the same FAX number. I don't know about you, but I don't do business over the internet with anyone who doesn't provide an actual street location for their business. I want to be able to look up business license, etc. On the OVT website (under "Contact Us"), there is a picture of a building with a "D.C. Labs, Inc" sign. The same building picture is on the Mega-Tek website (under "About Us") and has a sign that says "EQyss". How can one building have two different signs at the same time? The photos are the same angle. (Maybe they were altered with "Photoshop"?). There are numerous buildings all over San Diego that look like the one in the website photos. Since neither business gives an actual address, nobody can drive by and check out if they are legitimate or if that building is really theirs. Are the products made there? If not, is the place clean where the products are made? Is the Ovation Cell Therapy made in the same area as the Equine and other Pet Products? I am skeptical about the positive comments posted here regarding Ovation Cell Therapy. Several comments state they are in San Diego. Is DC Labs/EQyss paying you to pitch their product because you have a verifiable business? Or, do you work for the company?
Sorry I'm skeptical, but there are too many "red flags" regarding the whole business.

I tried the cell therapy over a year ago (only bought the Cell Therapy bottle) and used it with the Nioxin which is what I normally use.
I did not see any results whatsoever and did send the bottle back and they DID give me my money back. Anyone who says they don't live up to promises is mistaking themselves.
Since Nioxin hasn't done anything and I haven't heard good thing about Rogaine, I decided to give the entire line a try and ordered the Max Pack which is the shampoo, creme rinse, and Cell therapy.
I've had it for a month now and I am seeing a little bit of a peach fuzz in my thinned areas.
I'm 32, white male, and hair loss is prominent on my mom's side and I have been slowly losing my hair since I was 20. I started on Nioxin about 5 years ago and all that product does is slow down the loss-rate and doesn't necessarily regrow hair.
If all I get is a peach fuzz and nothing else, I will send it back for another refund and try something else.

Hi just adding my two cents. I was skeptical at first. I used the product every other wash and noticed it felt healthy. I dyed my hair brown from blonde and back again within six months-during and after when I go to get my hair cut it never fails that they comment on what I use and how healthy it feels and looks after so many treatments.
As far as growth...I think it worked but didn't really pay too close attention.
Hope this helps someone. Try it for a month, I was able to see results after a few weeks if I remember correctly:)
Have a beautiful day!!!!

I was very skeptical of Ovation Hair and hesitated trying it. I ordered the sample kit and have used it 3 times. I believe it works - my hair is not breaking or coming out in the come anymore. It is very pliable and the color was beautiful and radiant after 3 tries. I will post another update after using it another month.
Stop bashing the product. It does what it claims it is going to do. The major ingredient is hydrolized Keratin and if you read about this ingredient, it is vital to growing hair and nails. By the way, my nails are growing like crazy since I started washing my hair and using this product.

I have been using the mens pack for over 6 months with excellent results.
I am regrowing hair in my receding hair line and I am more thick on top.
It started with peach fuzz and then hair. I will continue with the product for 1 year.
I will post results in 6 months.
P.s I have tried propecia with horrible negative effects which took over 5 years to overcome. I have also tried rogaine which I believe is poisonous.
Hope this helps.

I also do not use the cell therapy product daily (Shampoo yes).
I use the cell therapy 2-3 X's a week. I keep it on for at least over night or up to 24 hours.

I ordered all three bottles about two weeks ago, i have lightened wavy/curly hair. reading everyons comments is very confusing..... i think you just have to try it for yourself. im finding that .....i like it. my curls have become ringlets! the shampoo is, ehhh. it doesnt lather very well. ive been leaving the cell therapy on overnite, than rinsing it out in the morn followed by the cream rinse, which i like very much. you dont have to use much and its very softening. i think if you dont expect THE WORLD from this product you will like it. im not looking to grow my hair , just to make the hair on my head better, and thats whats happening. the only thing i dont like is i dont understand how you can use the cell therapy anywhere from two to three minutes all the way to does that work, and what are the benefits of overnite if it can work in minutes???? oooh well, i guess it doesnt really matter if i like it, right? there are always gonna be people who dont like it and people who do, i say order it and if you dont like it, return it.....!

I've been using for a few weeks. I already have very thick hair. I was hoping it would help the texture of my gray hair. Not yet. But it does leave it incredibly soft and I've noticed much less hair loss after shampooing. I gave some of the cell therapy to a close friend who has undergone chemo. We are both hoping it helps her little baby hairs grow.

Thank you for your posts on this, I was seriously thinking about trying this out after having had my hair burnt due to a Japanese straightening system done on it. I am consantly conditioning it to try to bring it back to health. I would never recommemnd this straightening to anyone.

Well, I have to say that I've had really good luck with the product. It takes time though - didn't see significant results until 6 mths, although I also didn't follow the directions to a tee. After using this product, my hair has gotten thicker and grows really fast. I'm so so on the regrowth of hair that's no longer there. I have a widows wisp that literally had disappeared until I started using this product - now I have hair growing back there. Not really any other place. My mom,77 yrs old, had similar results. Existing hair was thicker and grew fast, but did not regrow hair she'd lost.

I made the mistake of bleaching my hair before the summer which left it looking like fuzz and caused me to have so much breakage. My hair is thin but up until the bleach, relatively healthy. I tried a product from my salon called BAMBOO HAIR and really notice how much healthier my hair is after just a month. Its all natural and I had used their bamboo lash product before so thats one of the reasons I gave it a shot. My new hair growth is very healthy and the damaged hair isnt falling out like before- plus the texture doesnt look like a train wreck like it did before I started using the product. My stylist has been using it for a few months and he has visible new fullness where you dont see his scalp like before. It wasnt as cheap as ovation but it did the job for me and i plan to continue using it.

I have been using Ovation Hair for about 2 months. My hair has not grown but it is stronger and thicker, soft and managable and looks very healthy. The growth aspect has not materialized, but I am so far happy with the product and will continue to use it "correctly". You have to be careful because it is protein and you have to use a high potent moisture conditioner after the cell therapy treatment. The creme rince is good but since my hair is very thin, it tends to make it to soft, so I have been using Essations Super Charge conditioner after the cell therapy treatment. Please use a high potent moiturizer after the cell therapy treatment or you will loose hair.

If you really want to stop losing alot of hair and want to try something less expensive, try this Shampoo/Conditioner called Mane and Tail. A lady at work suggested it to me aboout 2 years ago when my hair started falling out by the hand fulls and started to become noticeable. I also started taking 1 prenatal vitamin a day. There is also this one viatmin called Hair Skin and Nails that you can buy at Target. After doing these 2 things for about a month, I noticed that my hair was no longer falling out in the shower and not falling out through out the day like it once did. I was going to try Ovation, but after reading everyone's comments about past experiences, I think I'll pass on this one and stick with my original inexpensive remedy that seems to have worked for a while now. I just wanted to see if it really would make my hair grow faster by the way. Try this remedy and let me know if it works for you. Thanks to everyone who commented on their past experiences with this product.

I have been using Nioxin for several months and it certainly seems to make my hair seem thicker and it is not falling out as it did before.
Two things no one has mentioned:
One of my hairdressers said that she had two clients who did not know each other, but she noticed that six weeks after their last appointments, both of them came in with noticeably thicker, healthier hair. She asked them what they had started doing during the past six weeks to make such a difference. They both said the same thing: They had started taking fish oil capsules! Has anyone tried this?
Most importantly-GET YOUR THYROID CHECKED! Anyone who has problems with thinning or brittle hair or nails probably has a thyroid problem. If you are always cold and/or more tired than you used to be--it can also be a thyroid problem. Probably 40% of women have undetected thyroid problems--I suffered for at least 20 years and I am finally doing much better--don't wait and don't let your doctor dismiss your concerns--you can order your own thyroid tests if your doctor won't listen to you and tells you it is all in your head or that your life is too hectic--everyone's life is hectic! Good luck!

I've been using Ovations for over a year now, I think all I really notice is a deficit in my wallet. I think it does make your hair a bit healthier, but not a significant amount compared to the price, plus shipping. OK Dr. Laura, I'm not impressed, lol. Seriously, I am going back to mane & tail shampoo.

Thank you for your post. That is good feedback. The product will most likely enhance the condition of your existing hair, but there is no credible evidence that it will help regrow hair. Please keep us updated on your progress. I look forward to it.

I just ordered Ovation for $100. I am now very skeptical after reading the negative comments. I have consulted my hairdresser but she hasn't responded yet. She may be afraid to tell me I might be wasting my money. My product should arrive today so we'll see. I will just return the bottles if I don't see any progress. My hair is fine, thin and I do take fish oil for years now. Doesn't help me. I am a white female 53 yrs. old.

I have been using ovation for 2 months now. I have noticed that my hair is thicker and stronger. My breakage has went to almost nothing. I would wash my hair and would be afraid to comb through it because of the amount of hair that would end up in the comb. I think it's like anything else... What works for one may not work for another" Ovation claims a money back guarantee.... Try, if it doesn't work get your money back.

I received my Ovation products and have used them twice. I also have had my hair cut and highlighted during this same past week. It's very early but I feel my hair feels stronger and thicker already. Another 6-8 weeks of use and I will return to my hairdresser and we'll see the real difference. So far so good. My only suggestion (and it's early) but I'm using pomade so my hair doesn't dry out. Not washing it as much either. Thanks!

I used the products for three weeks and although I do think my hair felt slightly thicker it also became shockingly dry, dull, and brittle. I now have a halo of frizz from it breaking off all over my head. Didn't get any money back and don't really care, I just want to let people know that it may work for some but can be extremely damaging to others.
I've been using my Reginix products for about a week and it is already softer and silkier with some shine returning but I suppose I will have to wait for the broken ends to grow out. For my hair Ovation Therapy was the worst product I've ever used.

I was very skeptical when I bought this after reading reviews. I read them for months. I debated for months. FINALLY I caved in about 2 months ago and purchased the starter package.
The first two weeks I was unimpressed and considered writing negative views.
BUT by the 30 day mark I noticed how much my dark roots had grown. I also began to notice minimal to no shedding. The reason I finally caved in and bought the product line was because my hair was shedding like crazy. Bunches would come out from stress, or eating habits, weight loss, etc. who knows. Either way, I noticed it started to work. Now, after 2 months, I have over 1 1/2 inches of growth (vs. the typical 1 inch growth you'd expect after 2 months) I also have BABY hairs that have been growing all over my head. These are baby hairs I never had before.
The shampoo makes my hair a beautiful shade. It makes it feel so clean. In the shower the conditioner feels gooey on my hair. It doesn’t feel super soft when it’s in it. But after using the creme rinse, it begins to feel more manageable. Then, once I use any ol' detangeler, comb through, and blow dry its - voooaaa-lah – a 180 degree noticeable difference. The first time I used the system pack, my sister asked me if I dyed my hair and got a treatment. I told her no, just a new shampoo & conditioner!!!
After 2 months my hair feels SUPER strong. I mean, SUPER STRONG. I had one hair that had shed on my bed and didn’t realize it was a hair. I thought it was a string, as it felt so strong, like a fishing line. I thought to myself (yesterday) this feels like a strong fishing line, there is no way this is my hair. I had to turn the light on. And sure enough, it was my hair. I tugged on it gently, then a little bit harder to try to make it snap. It wouldn’t snap. So I tugged harder, and finally, it gave way. Before, my hair was SOOOO brittle, it would rip off after a simple brush stroke. All in all, this product is ABSOLUTELY worth every penny.
An added benefit I have noticed is that my nails - my dry brittle nails that I have had for about 4 years - have been growing longer, stronger, faster. Lol. Seriously! They are NOT brittle anymore. I think this is because I massage the conditioner into my hair and scalp for about 2-3 minutes. As a result, it has an opportunity to penetrate the cuticle possibly, etc. there is no way that this is random coincidence. I am sure because I have had to use clear nail straightening polish for years to avoid chipping. But, when I removed the polish 2 weeks ago, I realized that I no longer needed it after using ovation.
I think this may also be related – I have always had pretty long eye lashes which looked really long after mascara application and primping up. Recently however I have noticed that without mascara my eyelashes look really nice and thick. It’s not like I put it on my eyelashes, but, I am sure while I am in the shower some of it seeps on the area when I wash it out. I was noticing this, but began to realize it more when my own MOTHER asked me if I had mascara on the other day. I told her no. She said, wow it really looks like you do. I didn't put it together until I realized that my nails had become stronger too.
I love the added side effects but I hope I don’t grow facial hair as a result lol. I haven’t noticed new facial/back hair growth from the wash outs or anything, so I don’t think that will be the case. If anything comes up I will let you guys know. Have faith in this product, it really is a miracle treatment, and be patient, it isn’t over night. Give it at least 2 months and you will see the light, too!

I have been using Rogaine 5% and other similar products with 5%Minoxidil (store brands) for years. I wasn't satisfied until I tried "Regroe" brand with 6% Minoxidil (Made in the Philippines). The product worked better - lots of baby hairs grew and healthy hair grew longer, stronger and thicker. You just have to follow the direction in its application and you musn't miss the twice a day treatment. Despite the growths, my scalp still looks bald due to the thin, short baby hairs that grew on the bald spots. I considered shaving my head bald and remain that way for life = like accepting the fact. I heard about Ovation Cell Therapy at KIIS FM. I presume that the radio station/Ryan Seacrest and his staff will not allow the product to be advertised had they not had verification/confirmation that it really works. I tried the product and its been 10 days to this writing since I first used it daily at night as a leave-in. At daytime, I still use Minoxidil 5% less expensive store brand BELIEVE IT OR NOT, IT REALLY WORKS. The baby hairs grew longer and thicker. New hairs started to grew too and my bald spots has darkened with thicker hairs. For now, I am very much satisfied with the product and I have recommended Ovation Cell Therapy to my relatives and friends. In time, maybe I will forego using Minoxidil 5%, maybe after I have grown back much of my hair which I presume will take about 4 to 6 months based on the rate of rate I am observing.
Give it a try guys, I'm pretty sure a lot of you will be amazed with this product which I can call "Last Chance"

I have been using Ovation therapy, shampoo and creme rinse for a month. Here's what I have noticed. My first week of use I also got a cut and color. My hair is thicker looking and feeling. New growth coming in all over the crown of my head. After using the cell therapy I put on a regular conditioner pretty heavy. I would never in the past been able to use that much conditioner on my hair. It would really weigh it down. But not now. I am seeing results and will continue use.

I am an african american women age 31. I started using this product in June of 2010. I have relaxed very thick hair. When I started my hair was just under my chin length. It is now past my shoulders. I absolutely love the products. I currently use all three. I wash my hair every wed and sunday with all three products. I use an applicator bottle every night and apply the cell therapy to just my scalp, rub it in, and leave it on. Although I have gotten good results with these products, i am currently looking for a shampoo that is sodium lauryl sulfate free.

In response to T.K. comments from April 24th and Ovation Cell "office" picture versus Eqyss "office" picture.
You got to love google. The actual address is 1210 Keystone Way, suite c, vista, ca 92081! She is right to be it then drag the little guy for a street view and you will see clearly the exact same building, but with no name attached to it???
Good catch T.K.

I have a relaxer in my hair and I use a semi permanent color. My hair was thinning at the temples and at the crown of my head. Ovation products did nothing for my hair. I'm using Rogaine now and it works a lot better, especially around the temples. The awful side effect is that facial hair seems to be a little more prominent, but not enough so that I will stop using the Rogaine. African American women, save your money, Ovation won't make your hair grow.
Posted @ Monday, October 18, 2010 1:09 PM by Barbara
T.K. and George, I believe that they are probably the same company making the product. But since one (mega-tek) has been in existence longer being marketed as a product for horses but safe for human consumption, they want to market the same product with a new name at a higher price point to the clientele who have tried and liked megatke. I have read lots of reviews on Ovation, because at that price point, I want to be sure. Almost everyone who did a review compared it to Megatek which seems to have the market on hair growth as they have all tried Megatek.
Amanda, I did a search for BAMBOO HAIR, because you stated that it worked but wasn't as "cheap" as Ovation. And in my opinion Ovation is not cheap at all. Bamboo Hair and Scalp Stimulator (which looks like a spray bottle of leave-in conditioner and is used the same way) costs $159 (no, it is not a system, just a bottle of treatment). Also, there are no other reviews for the product other than Amanda's.
That is just too rich for my blood.

This product (OVATION) seem to belike ROGAINE!!! you have to continually use this product , and if not the hair will eventually fallout for not keeping up with the regiment!! They need to be Honest and specific about the use of the Products!! of course woman want thicker fuller hair, and to only make an product that cost a arm and leg to buy and keep ... if it works so well then why sell it for so much???!!! Hair thinning can come from so many things.. Thyroid, age, medication, many things and of course no one wants to be BALD!! but please be more HONEST with consumers, and tell the down falls of not using this product for the rest of there lives!!! you can make matters worse when you stop using products that offer HAIR growth, and thicker Hair!!!

the first time i used the product i felt the new hair growth when i would press my fingertips to the scalp. My hair was growing. This time, i don't see the growth, but my overprocessed hair is much softer and breaks less,,,yeay!!! WEN products made me lose hair.

I'm only 22 and have been experiencing some severe thinning that's gotten rather noticeable in the last couple of months. I'm desperate to find something to help. I've tried many many things over the past couple of years but nothing's helped. The hair loss is a huge struggle with self esteem and I've heard many different things about the ovation products. I hope it helps.

I used this product and the MegaTek rebuilder (which are supposed to be the same thing) and I have to say the Ovation worked better for me. I felt like the MegaTek made my hair dry (perhaps too much protein?). I only used one bottle of Ovation and 2 of the MegaTek and the Ovation DEFINITELY helped with the condition of my hair. My hair tangles so easily and it made it much more manageable. I think it more so helps it not to break and in turn it will grow healthier and faster. Next time I will only buy the cell rebuilder because the shampoo really did nothing for me and it has the dreaded SULFATES in it. If Ovation makes the shampoo sulfate free then I would consider buying it again.

Ok, I have psorasis extremely bad on my scalp! After my 2nd kid, the patches on my scalp kept growing and my hair thinned and eventually completely fell out in the back. I see a dermatologist and have been using heavy doses of steriods in creams, lotions, sprays, and shampoos for years. (thank goodness I have health insurance, b/c I get on average $2500 worth of prescriptions a month) My hair was extremely thin; I was going bald and ready to buy a wig. Then I collected the money for the trio pack of Ovation. After the first 2 weeks, I noticed an amazing difference. I am on my second bottles of Ovation and have been using them for about 10 weeks now. I no longer need to buy a wig. My scalp after 10 weeks is the best that it has EVER been!! I still have flaking and minimal hair loss, but not anything like I did. I am still using my prescriptions, but am thinking about messing with them. I LOVE Ovation, I just really wish it was cheaper! Their website advertises that it works great for chemo patients, etc. I think that the price is taking advantage of people who are desperate. They should really lower their prices. And they might sell more too. I agree that this may not work for everyone. But It is working for me!!! My self-esteem is also higher. I am not embarrassed about my hair loss and thinning, and the flaking isn't as bad. :-)

Sherri. It's good to hear your story. I too think it's too expensive and takes advantage of people. I bought the system and felt lots of growth at my part areas. New baby hairs. Now I have run out of the shampoo and cannot afford to keep buying it at $20 a bottle. But I will keep up with the protein treatment 1x week and also have plenty of cream rinse left. I haven't really noticed faster growth in length though. Good luck!

I am a 37 year old African American female with thinning hair around my temples and extremely and the hair on the crown of my head is practically all gone all from bad relaxers applied by a bad beautician years ago. I have been to a Dermatologist who recommended Rogaine for men, but after several months I saw no results. I then tried Root Stimulator, the entire line of Profectiv and Olive Oil. The Olive Oil product line gave me great length but still no grow around my temples and crown of my head. I then ordered the product Regro which I seen on a television ad and still nothing. I just read reviews online about the product Noxin this morning so I went out and purchased the starter kit today. I couldn't wait to get home and try it out.

No matter what it might or might not do for your hair growth, Ovation claimed it was made with all natural ingredients and nothing could be further from the truth! Not only are they not all natural, but several of their ingredients are listed on several websites that warn of toxic, cancer causing chemicals. For instance, all three of their products, cell therapy, shampoo and creme rinse contain DMDM hydantoin, which releases formaldehyde, a known carcinogen (cancer causing). And that's not the only one in their products! For my money, I don't see how it makes sense to risk my health to that degree just to look good. There are other products and ways to get healthy hair and stay healthy yourself in the process! Don't buy these dangerous products! Be proactive for your health and just look up the ingredients online!

I am a 52 y/o bf. Until I was 32 I had beautiful soft, curly hair which I relaxed every 3-4 months. About that age I noticed my relaxer only lasted 3 mon, then 2, then less than 2 mon. By my late thirties, I noticed hair loss and soreness at the temples and my hair was less curly. I stopped relaxing, went natural for 7 yrs with no problem. Two yrs ago my natural hair became dry, brittle and thin. I'm relaxing again, but my hair is thin and limp. Over the last 20 yrs I tried every shampoo, conditioner, and oral supplement recommended to me, but have not seen results. I've asked several people, including my stylist, about Ovation, but no one has heard about it. For the second time in 2 yrs, I'm on the verge of buying the product, but after reading the various comments, I'm still contemplating. Besides what has been suggested thus far, has anyone had success with products other than Ovation? It would be a major sacrifice for me to purchase this product, so I want to explore as many available, and cheaper, opitions that have been successful for others.

for thining hair
Posted @ Monday, December 27, 2010 6:25 PM by ashley
I received the Ovation Cell Therapy System for Christmas (the Tahitian Sand Body Scrub smells INCREDIBLE BTW) and I do see a differenc in my managability and texture after only a few uses. It does appear to have a little more fullness after I style my hair. Now my hair has not grown thicker, as this would be impossible in such a short time, I beleive it is because it's the products don't leave any heavy residue lingering on my hair. This will give the appearnace of fuller hair because it's not weighed down. We'll see if it helps with the thinning.
As far as the ingredients go, there are several ingredients on the label that are not natural, some of which are even banned in other countries (anything with the word -parabens).
Will I purchase this product after my xmas gift is gone? Only if at the end of my bottles I have a lush thick main if princess hair. It's just too exensive. Next I shall try the Wen Hair Care System.

Wow, after reading this blog I'm scared to buy Ovations, a girlfriend and I were going to purchase and split the entire system. I have asked her to read the comments as well. We are both 60 and looking for a product that will stop the thinning of our hair.Thank you all for sharing

I got Ovation for xmas, I only wash my hair 3 times a week (shower daily though LOL)because it's not good for your hair to wash it daily. I had hair extensions that did alot of damage to my hair. I lost alot of hair as well. The other day my husband said your hair looks really good mama, it looks thicker too. Now my hubby is not the kindof man to pay attention to stuff like that so for hiim to make a comment out of the blue regarding my hair looking thicker, than I would have to say its working.
I am about out of product and I can tafford to get anymore, unfortunatly, but I would if i could. I also want to try the Wen Hair Care System.
Posted @ Saturday, January 29, 2011 7:20 PM by Amy
Well I bought the system in August and used up all the shampoo and cream rinse. I only use the protein treatment once a week now. I would spend the money and continue if I thought it was making a big difference. I began taking Biotin and will use see if that helps. Probably will begin Rogaine.

Where can I find Ovation Porduct
Posted @ Thursday, February 03, 2011 9:49 AM by Julie Houston
My hair has always been course. Over the years my hair fell out in spots and became very dry and brittle. The products I used made it oily or dried it out even more. I stopped using relaxers and started all over with a very low cut. I've been using ovation for about a month, washing it once a week and leaving the therapy in over night. Since using Ovation my thin spots have filled in and I can proudly wear a full "fro" without the embarrassment of someone noticing my bald spots.
It has also changed the texture of my hair. My hair was never soft and manageable until now. On another note, I have experienced some scalp irritation while using Ovation. I noticed a day or two after my shampoo certain areas of my scalp will become sensitive to touch. I'll put seabreeze on it and it's business as usual.
Overall I'm satisfied with the result but not happy at all about the price. I wish it was more affordable. I'll continue using it until I find another product that produces similar results.

I intend to purchase your hair treatment due to having hair loss. I became a bit concerned when I reviewed testamonies from women whom stated that, your product made their hair grow. I observered them wearing hair extensions. The reviews showing women with wigs and weave should be discontinued in your ads.

A good thing to do for those of you who want your hair to grow faster is use Mane'n'Tail horse shampoo. It sounds strange, but it really does work. You can find it in the pet section in most grocery stores (e.g. Walmart, Kroger, etc.). I donate 6" of my hair to Locks of Love twice a year, and the horse shampoo helps me grow it back as quickly as possible. I just donated 2 1/2 months ago, and my hair is already back down to my waist. So if you ask me, you don't need to waste your money on these expensive products. Mane'n'Tail is about $5 for a large bottle, and gives you results fast.

Question? Is this site a hoax. I searched this site for any "African American" comments, as I am African American. Almost all had terrible grammar and horrible spelling. Some were so bad, I had to decipher what they were trying to say. I think I'll conclude that this site IS a hoax, rather than believe that just about everyone who stated that they were African American are that illiterate. Moving on to the next site....

I used up my Ovation $100 products and could not afford it any longer. Not the greatest results anyways. I have now purchased Nutri-Ox 3 part system for $25. These products are the generic for Nioxin which is pretty expensive. Same ingrediants. It's working so well and I've only used for 5 days. It's a 30 day supply for $25! I have an area about an inch in from my hairline in front that is thinning pretty bad. Don't know how but I almost can't find it already. Keeping my fingers crossed that this continues.

I have been using the product for close to 4 months now, I wash every other or every two days, it seems to me as if every wash makes my hair more unmanageable and tangled. I had breakage before using the product and although it does seem somewhat healthier, it's no where near the results I was praying for. My hair is pretty damaged, dry and thin. I used regular herbal essences last night for the first time since using ovations and my hair felt softer and more manageable then ever in the last 4 months. I truly believe it's not worth the money, if anybody is interested don't make the mistake i did and go big, at least get the smaller test tubes and see how it works for you!

I just say to who ever is having hair lost or whatever the case maybe...if you have faith any hair systme will work, but if you go in thinking its not going to work them dont bother because you just cancelled your hair miracle...I LOVE THE OVATION HAIR SYSTEM...DONT LET OTHER PEOPLE STOP YOU FROM HAVING BEAUTIFUL HAIR....JUST TRY IT AND IF YOU NEED HELP JUST CONTACT ME AND I WILL TELL YOU WHAT I DID EACH WASH TO HAVE BEAUTIFUL HAIR....MYLAISIAWHITE@YAHOO.COM... @MYLAISIAWHITE@YAHOO.COM, just out of curiousity what did you do differently cause I just did what the directions said and my hair started breaking. I am sure this product does work FOR SOME PEOPLE but jsut as you said everyone is going to have different results. I am just saying to BE CAREFUL when using this product. 3 times a week FOR MOST PEOPLE, any hairstylist will tell you is too much protien for hair and will have the opposite affect of what you are trying to accomplish. I wish that I had started out jsut using the cell therapy once a week not the suggested 3 times a week. In my opinion, and that is all it is, this product should at least have a disclaimer on it about what using protein on your hair 3 times a week COULD POSSIBLY do to your hair. I jsut wanted people to know what happened to me and sorry but sounds like other people have had the same experience with it. Glad it is working for you though.

THEY ARE A FrauD. I have sent back my bottles like I was stated to and still 1 month later NO refund. @Mylaisia I'm sorry I think it is hillarious that you are basically sitting here saying if you follow the directions on the bottle your hair will break off yet your slamming people on here for trying to get the message out that it doesn't work. OBVIOUSLY most people are going to follow directions. SO why would you begin to think that if a product is making my hair break because i simply followed the directions on the bottle I wouldn't be a little irritated????????? Can you not understand my frustration that the DAMAGE HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE BECAUSE I FOLLOWED THEIR DIRECTIONS!!!! Sure I can try your way but my hair is already broken off! You say and I quote "THE CELL THERAPY SHOULD ONLY BE USED AT LESS TWICE A MONTH NO MORE THAN THAT" Ummmmmmmm obviously most people are jsut following directions so please don't be so surprised that there are people who aren't happy with this product!!!! And please don't tell people and I quote again "...if you have faith any hair systme will work, but if you go in thinking its not going to work them dont bother because you just cancelled your hair miracle" when you don't even use the product as it states to do so on the frickin bottle!!!!!! I am trying to get the message out there to people NOT TO USE IT LIKE INSTRUCTED OR THEIR HAIR WILL BREAK just as you are stating that it will the same. I did have faith that it would work, I did buy it expecting all the things it promised and I followed the instructions on the bottle and my hair is now breaking off! Excuse me that I am trying to let people know not to trust as you call it "this hair miracle" especailly when you don't even use it the way the product tells you to. I guess if we could all be as smart as you we could have beautiful hair. Personally, I think Ovation Cell Therapy should just simply have a disclaimer or some not on the bottle basically stating what you and I bot hknow to be true....THAT IS YOU FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS ON THE BOTTLE YOUR HAIR WILL BREAK AND YOU SHOULD REALLLLLLLYYYYYY ONLY USE THE CELL THERAPY ONCE OR TWICE A MONTH!

I have only a brief review so far, but will give my impression since I've only used Ovation once. I almost didn't order this product because of the cost, but kept hearing the radio ads and decided to give it a try. I'm a 59 year old female with fine thin hair that I color, and I've been noticing more and more hair collecting in the shower drain after each shampoo. This of course concerns me. I used the cell therapy on my hair and left it on overnight. This morning I washed my hair with the Ovation shampoo and used the creme rinse. There was NO hair in the drain. None. My hair feels very nice, soft, shiny and bouncy with a great texture. So I would say upon my first use, I'm happy and going to stick with it.
Posted @ Sunday, June 19, 2011 2:02 PM by Bookenz
Ovation does make your hair dry, but if you can keep a good moisturizer in it, it will grow and get thicker. I know what you are saying about the breakage, but try to moisturize as often as you feel the need and see what happens. Also, I decided not to follow the directions on the frequency of the Cell Therapy. That's too much protein in your hair and it obviously can damage it.

I read enough of these comment to know not to buy Ovation cell. Seem like it will at first then over use as directed will cause it to be dry and damage. I have used Ovation for about 2 years. It does make my hair grow faster but I have noticed more fallout so what is the advantage here?? I followed directions, washed almost every day & used the Cell Therapy 2-3 times a week. My hair is extremely fine but needs constant washing to look its best but I feel that Ovation does not live up to its advertising. They asked for comments--I gave the truth and have never heard back. I've heard that the amino acid L-Cysteine is supposed to be helpful to the hair. That's my next step.

I have used Ovation cell therapy products since March 2009.I'm not convinced it has made any improvement in the growth of my hair. There is still a great deal of hair loss when shampooing, and a fair amount of breakage. I have never colored my hair or used harsh products on my hair.My hair color is good perhaps this product has kept it so as I have few gray hair and mynatural color is dark brown.I use the product3 times a week. It is expensive. The company does not give any discounts for long time customer.I guess they do not value my businss. I am ready to try something else.

I am a hairstylist and get asked about Ovations all the time, so I decided I would give a try so that I could give an educated opinion. I have been using it now for about 3 months and the only thing I've noticed since starting is my hair is now falling out. My ponytail is about half of what it was before I started using it. I'm going to attempt to send it back and at least get some of my money back. Now I know, and recommend that no one use this.

I'm sorry is someone complaining they only got a refund of the LAST TWO products they bought? Really not all the used products? Wow. How dare a company refuse a person who consistently used the products and THEN wanted ALL THEIR MONEY back. You can't make everyone happy. This is a good product, is it a miracle in a jar? Adults know there are no miracles and different things will help with problems for different people. It's too bad some people don't opt for a full head transplant instead of worrying about their hair. If you use something pay for it, if you don't like it and don't want to use it send it back, that's better than Bumble & Bumble will do for you or any other high end product.

I think before purchasing the product, they need to tell the instructions of their money guarantee back. The wet products (bottle) should be returned to the company after the complaint from the customer or says it's not satisfied with the result. Again, thanks for sharing this.

I used Ovation Therapy for several months with no results. New hair growth is very normal and minimal.
For hair loss issues and to thicken hair....
Use Aloe Vera juice on your scalp after you towel dry hair. Let it stay on, do not wash out. It's natural and your scalp will love it, hence creating healthier hair. It's working for me currently.
Also: For hair loss questions, visit an endocrinologist(for hormone testing at any age). They can offer bioidentical hormone creme if needed (you can also buy the same product, different label online for about $30.00).
Or crush up birth control pills and put it in your shampoo.
These are suggestions after you check hormone levels with a doctor.
Good luck everyone!

I have NEVER had long hair ever until I began using this product. My mom & I actually bought it, she was losing hair and mine is very fine & straight. I had "Halle Berry" short hiar when I started. My hair got so long after 2 years that several friends who hadn't seen me in a while accused me of of getting EXTENSIONS. The product was nice. I always mixed the conditioner with the cell therapy then left it on for 30 minutes while I did housework or watched tv. This past April...I couldn't take it anymore(long hair to my lower back) so I had my hairdresser cut 8 inches off to my shoulders. I haven't used Ovation in a year but I have alot of fly aways and it appears I am losing more hair in my brush(although its natural to lose up to 100 hairs a day)but when I was using OVATION faithfully I never found alot of hair in the I may go back to it. I have worked in the Professional Beauty Industry for over 25 years...Good Hair Products are expensive...rule of thumb don't buy your hair products where you buy your bread. I have seen way more pricey hair products then this through out the years. The other thing is YOU HAVE TO GIVE IT TIME, how many years did it take you to grow BAD HAIR? and for some reason you expect anything to change it in a month, 2 or 3? It takes committment. Ovation may not work for everyone but it worked too good for me, and nicely for my mom..Hair at least to me is of the UTMOST importance..

So glad I came across this website. I was within a nanosecond of completing my purchase of Ovation Hair Advanced Cell Therapy when I decided to review their "365 day return guarantee." Reading it in light of the comments of other posters who have tried to get their refunds, I see it is a "Catch-22" guarantee. Ovation Hair products are very expensive, and I am happy to have "come to my senses" and saved the $60+ I would have spent for just the one bottle of Advanced Cell Therapy. Thank you for publishing this site and allowing readers to get the "whole picture" on these types of deceptive advertising campaigns.

I fell for this product. I bought the main product Ovation Cell Therapy and one other or maybe it was the kit. It was really expensive but I thought if it worked it would be worth it and if it didn't there was a really convincing sounding guarantee. Needless to say it didn't work. I used ALL of it exactly as directed. I emailed to let them know that it didn't work and I wasn't happy and I wanted my money back as promised per their guarantee. They wouldn't give me ANY money back because it was more than 30 days or something like that. Bottom line: Ovation Cell Therapy is a SCAM!!! And their Guarantee is BOGUS too!!! In my opinion. What's really sad is they were marketing it to sick people who are losing their hair so from where I sit they're praying on desperate people. I've heard there's some kind of horse shampoo and conditioner that's supposed to be pretty good.

I have SUPER THICK curly hair that i blow dry straight and flat iron. My hairdresser the Shielo Antioxidant Leave in Protecter Spray and i decided to try it, though i was hesitant.
I tried it for a week with no other styling products, and since that week i have been a believer! This product is amazing - My hair is now shiny, silky, soft and not damaged at all.
It's also nice to only have to use 1 styling product as opposed to the 2,3, and sometimes even 4 that i was previously using.

i'm quite skeptical after reading the negative reviews, but also hopeful as a handful of people got positive results. I am an Asian female in my 30s and I've always had thin hair. Now I noticed that my hair is getting even thinner. I'm just scared that I might lose every strand by the time I turn 40. It's expensive, but the only way to know if it works for me or not is to try it out. Not all products will work the same way for everyone. I am hoping Ovation works for me. Will keep you posted. Good luck to everyone having hair dilemma.

I'm really surprised by some of the negative reviews. I ordered the Advanced Color Therapy system at the beginning of December, and it's now the end of February. I still have probably 1/4 bottle of the shampoo and crème rinse and 1/2 of the Therapy Hair Treatment. I use the shampoo and crème rinse 4-5 days a week and the Hair Treatment 2-3 evenings per week, leaving it on overnight. My hair has always been moderately thick and wavy, but very dry, frizzy and slow to grow. After 10 weeks my hair has grown nearly 2 full inches. But even more impressive for me, is that I have no more frizz! Living in a dry, cold climate this is a very big deal!! My hair has never been so soft and smooth, I'm completely sold!

actually, i was looking at their website and it DOES say that you need to keep the bottles for a refund - and it also says that you'll only receive a refund for your last order, "not your entire purchase history."

I am a cancer survivor who I trying to grow my hair back. I am a black woman. My sister tried Ovation and said it did make her hair grow faster so I tried it. After the first use I noticed my hands were swollen and acking. Also had a wierd ache in my arm. So the next time I used gloves. My hands have not returned to normal, but I used it again today with gloves and after massaging the cell therapy in for about 10 minutes I started to feel light headed and dizzy. I quickly washed it out. Now I am very concerned about whether I will have some lasting side effect from whatever chemicals are in this stuff. After surviving chemo side effects this is the last thing I needed. I would caution anyone before using this product. The strange thing is that I've only used this product less than 2 weeks and my hair has grown and filled in the bald spots I had. Before using it my hair had started growing but was very thin. It is still thin but has grown markedly. I don't know if it would have happened anyway or it was the cell therapy. But hair is not worth my health so I will be sending it back for my money back.

It sounds like you could have had an allergic reaction to the product or it might be something else. Ovation doesn't have anything in their products that would do that. I asked multiple people that work there if there's any chemical or any stuff like that in it that could cause harm. Or would make me lose my hair if I stopped using it and they don't have any chemicals in it. I've even asked my doctor too. She said no.

I looked into this produce myself and found a lot of information that are mixed. Here is what I have found out. Nothing can make your hair grow longer however there are a few things that you can do to stop your hair from breaking and as a result it will grow.
Aloe vera is very good to stop hair breakage and promote hair growth. It is one of the ingredients in the Ovation Cell product. It will also make the hair thinker and look fuller. Look up the benefits of Aloe on the internet I found good information at Be careful with the aloe as it can make the hair course if not use with proper moisturizer.
Good luck

Go in your backyard, cut a piece o alo vera plant, open it up, and rub the juice on your hair. Fantastic conditioner.

I am 29 with dry, frizzy, curly hair. Started using Ovation 2 years ago when I was experiencing hair loss and breakage due to over styling and product use. First used the original formula, just the cell therapy with wonderful results. My second bottle was the advanced formula cell therapy and I stopped using all hair/body products that contain parabens or sulfates. I now have the healthiest hair I have ever had! People ask me if I dyed my hair darker and I have not dyed my hair in 2 years. My hair is shiny, soft, and has less frizz and breakage. I also only wash my hair 2x per week and make sure to gently scrub my scalp with my fingertips well when shampooing. I think if you really want your hair back, you have to stop killing your hair with styling and harsh products. I have purchased only 3 bottles of cell therapy in 2 years(it lasts that long), works for me:)

I know there are many out there that swear by Ovation Cell Therapy. But I did not notice a hint of difference on my hair!!! I have been using only Ovation cell Therapy for a month now and my hair still feels the EXACT same. I have even allowed for the treatment to sit in my hair over night once a week. I do notice a thicker difference that next morning, but the thickness honestly just feels like my hair is dirty when I run my fingers through it. I really wish this would have made even the slightest difference for me as I am desperate to have thicker hair! But I am now feeling hopeless that there are any products out there that trully work if even Ovation did not.

Me again-
I forgot to add that I swear my hair falls out so much more with Ovation Cell Therapy than when using other shampoos. I have really long hair so it does tangle pretty easy, but I have even tried being more careful when rubbing in the treatment, but every time I continue to pull more and more hair out when rinsing in the shower. I wish I could say I was a satisfied customer with how much Ovation costs.

I have inherited hair loss that only worsens as the years go by. I am only 31 and fear I will have to wear a wig in the next 5 years. No woman should experience this. Shampoos help some but do not solve the problem. I used Rogaine but it made me shaky and the results were fine, erratic, unstable hairs that would fall out easily. I lack faith in just about any product to have any long-lasting results. I tried Keratase and that only made my hair feel thicker while the product was in my hair and made me question if it encouraged more hair loss than my natural shampoos. If someone has a REAL answer out there I would love to know it otherwise I fear I will have to embrace the look my grandma has now…pretty much pure scalp.

Hi Tiana,
My name is William Gaunitz. I am the CEO of Evolution Hair Centers and editor of this blog.
You are most likely experiencing female pattern hair loss. This can be easily controlled by adjusting your hormones naturally. Your genetic sensitivity to testosterone has become more severe with age. By gently and naturally increasing your progesterone and estrogen you can stop this progression. We have a hormone therapy balancing cream that will mostly likely stop the progression of your loss within 3-5 weeks. Here is link Hormone Therapy Balancing Cream for Hair Loss.
I would be more than happy to give you advice and learn more about your situation. Please feel free to email me at to consult with me direct or via phone consultation. This will cost your nothing. I am simply here to help.

I noticed that an woman attorney, about 30 years old, had very shiney, nice looking hair. The main point is that her hair was very fine. I thought her hair was so impressive that I asked her what she uses. She said the Ovation system.

Mr. Gaunitz,
My hair has never been long except for a short time when I was 16. i was living in Dallas and went to visit my grandmother in East Texas for the summer. I washed my hair and it started breaking and never ggot the length back. It was always thick but due to being on so many medications and hereditary my hair is very thin, soft and fine, that is, if you can find it. My edges are super thin as it the top. I am 63 and would love to be able to wear my own hair again or I guess I should say I would love have my own hair again especially during the hot months. Is there anything that will help me, I will try the allow. I am living on a very small income. I am a widow and would love to start dating but the state of my natural hair is so pathetic until it is embarrassing. I will check out the hormones to see if it fits my budget if you think it would benefit me. Thank you.

I've been using ovations now since March. I have been disappointed in the results and doubt I will order anymore when this series is gone. My hair is still fine and thin. When it feels stronger and thicker is when I'm washing it. I am also concerned about the fornaldyde and what it is doing to me. Sorry, Ocations.
